KNATION5: UKISS, 4L, BIGSTAR & M.Pire rock the Philippines
Gracing the 5th installment of KNATION, Eli, Kevin, Hoon, Sohyun, Kiseop and Jun of UKISS sent their fans wild as they performed last October 6 at the SMX Convention Center Halls 3&4, Pasay City, Philippines for KNATION Music Showcase 2014.
This year, KFest Manila Events Management, who organized the event, also featured rookie groups M.PIRE, BIGSTAR and 4L (Four Ladies) who made the night even hotter as they did not disappoint Filipino fans with their awesome performance.
KNATION5 was thus filled with K-pop goodness as the first part of the event catered fans’ K-pop cravings with cover dance performance, games and K-pop booths. Winners of the cover dance contest got the chance to open the most awaited showcase of that day.
Winner’s Crew hyped Filipino fans’ excitement as they showcased their eye-popping dance performances. Visiting the country for the second time, M.Pire returned to the Philippine concert stage with their Chinese member Red. The boys then captivated the crowd with their smooth performance of We Can’t be Friends, Not That Kind of Person and serenaded everyone with the sweet ballad song written by JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong, On My Mind.
The only female group in the line-up, 4L received a lot of love as fans could not help but scream their names over and over again. Chany, Ye Seul, Ja Young and J-Na graced the event with their performance as they danced to the beat of Psy‘s Gentleman and Gangnam Style. They also sent male fans crazy as they performed their hit song Move.
BIGSTAR, on the other hand, was touched by the fans’ surprise for their member Baram who was celebrating his birthday that day. Other members Feeldog, Raehwan, Sunghak and Jude sang happy birthday along with the fans. Sunghak then surprised everyone when he suddenly sang a Tagalog song, Anak by Freddie Aguilar. They also left a good impression when they performed their grooving hit songs, Hot Boy, Run and Run, Brave and Die in Your Arms.
Although UKISS is not a stranger on the Philippine stage anymore, fans still welcomed the band with heartwarming love and screams. Kevin and Eli shared that the Philippines is special for the group as it was the country where their first solo concert was held.
They made everyone dance with their hit songs like She’s Mine, Neverland, Am I that Easy? and Stop Girl. They also swept girls of their feet when they started singing their ballad song 0330, Yuki no Hana and Standing Still.
The concert was about 3 hours long and it was truly a night filled with fun and excitement.
