Unique stories are set to sail in the roster of March 2020 Korean Dramas

It will be an interesting roster for fans of K-Dramas to anticipate for this March. Catering to varied audience preference, staple romance stories, thrillers and slice of life themes are featured for the next month’s lineup.

Aside from the thrillers and romance themes mostly dominating the lineup, the creative teams of respective dramas are also set for an interesting friendly competition. The 14-member SBS series is directed by Lee Jung Heum of Six Flying Dragons fame. Penning the script is Kim Eun Hyang.

Starring Kim Seo Hyung (Sky Castle), Ryu Deok Hwan (Special Labor Inspector Jo) and Park Hoon, the series tells the interconnected stories of individuals.

It is a thought-provoking tale from the perspective of youth that nudges on the reality of how life would have been different if they are guided by good adults.

Portraying Moon Seung Mo, Eric is a genius chef but decides to settle in a quaint village after his parents died from a sudden fire. Meanwhile, Go Won Hee takes the role of Yu Jin, a renowned fashion designer under the name of Bella, who has lost her memory. Because of her accident, she will become completely different than her usual glamorous self.

Coming to Netflix in March, Hospital Playlist boasts stellar cast of versatile actors: Jo Jung Seok (Oh My Ghost), Yoo Yeon Seok (Mr. Sunshine, Dr. Romantic), Jung Kyung Ho (Prison Playbook, Beating Again), Kim Dae Myung (Misaeng); and award-winning musical actress Jeon Mi Do.

Hospital Playlist explores the amazing bond among five friends who have stayed close with each other since attending medical school together 20 years ago. They can practically read each other’s mind and know each other like the back of their hands.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, Rugal is a science fiction action drama about a special organization called ‘Rugal’ which fights against Korea’s largest terrorist group Argos. The drama depicts the revenge story of an elite police officer who was reborn as a member of ‘Rugal’, after losing his eyes and his beloved wife by brutal criminal organization called ‘Argos’.

The breathtaking bout of the special police organization ‘Rugal’ and the criminal organization ‘Argos’ will unfold in a thrilling way. The new OCN series is headlined by chameleon actors Choi Jin Hyuk and Park Sung Woong. Backing up the project are Studio Dragon and Lian Entertainment, with PD Kang Chul Woo calling the shots of the production.

Find Me in Your Memory

Kim Dong Wook and Moon Ga Young team up for MBC’s upcoming drama Find Me in Your Memory. The drama follows the story of two people who are emotionally scarred. One has the ability to recall his life experiences in clear details, while the other has forgotten her past.

Kim Dong Wook stars as Lee Jung Hoon, the man who works as an anchor in a broadcasting station and has hyperthymesia. His condition gives him the capability to remember details about his life vividly. Meanwhile, Moon Ga Young plays the role of up and coming actress Yeo Ha Jin. Because of her forgotten past, she lives her life the way she wants to.

Kim Yoon Joo who co-wrote the dramas Queen and I and Nine: 9 Times Time Travel will pen the script. Director Oh Hyun Jong, who directed dramas Weightlifting Fairy Kim Book Joo and Two Cops will the lead the production.


A Piece of Your Mind

Directed by Lee Sang Yeob, penned by Lee Sook Yeon; the Studio Dragon production threads on unrequited love story to warm up the season of Spring. It boasts powerhouse cast of Jung Hae In, Chae Soo Bin, Lee Ha Na and Kim Sung Kyung.

A Piece Of Your Mind narrates the story of an unrequited love suffered by both the leads. Jung Hae In plays an AI programmer Ha Won who has been living a lonely life and has been harboring his one-sided love for a very long time. Meanwhile, Chae Soo Bin stars as a classical recording engineer Seo Woo who meet Ha Won and is drawn towards him.

365: Repeat The Year

365: Repeat The Year is a fantasy mystery thriller that follows 10 people who receive the mysterious chance to go back into time exactly one year ago.

This chance is for them to be able to change their destiny. Unfortunately, they unexpectedly run into complicated circumstances leading them to intertwine their fates together.

Taking the director’s chair is Kim Kyung Hee who produced Ruler: Owner of the Mask, Lucky Romance and Always Spring.


Meow The Secret Boy

Taking the role of a cat who can turn to a human in the new midweek drama of KBS2 TV, Kim Myung Soo readies to win the viewers’ hearts with his new project.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, the television drama adaptation will circle on the story of Seol Ah, a woman who one day takes home a cat. Unknown to her, the cat can transform to a human form and has witnessed her pains and hardships. From there, a journey of healing and romance will spring.

Joining Kim in the lead cast are Shin Ye Eun (He is Psychometric) and Seo Ji Hoon (Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency). PD Ji Byung Hun, who worked on Lovely Horribly and Big will lead the production.

The World of the Married

Returning to small screen, Kim Hee Ae (Second to Last Love, Mrs. Cop) pairs up with Park Hae Jun in a melodrama that threads on a married couple’s relationship fallout.

Director Mo Wan Il, recognized for his work in Misty, helms the project. Keen to delve on the world of problematic married couples, it aims to unfold the different secrets and emotions invested by a man and a woman in marriage.

Portraying the focal character, Kim Hee Ae takes the role of a self-made woman with a loving family and a reputable career and presence in the community. However, her almost perfect life begins to crumble. Rounding up the cast members are actresses Han So Hee and Park Sun Young.


Wings, Fly Up

  • KBS2 | March 2020

Headlined by Lee Jun Young (Class of Lies) and Stephanie Lee (The Last Empress), the new action-comedy drama of KBS2 features a former fallen athlete of Taekwondo national team.

Penning the script is Choi Hyun Ok, who wrote KBS2 fantasy-romance drama – Perfume. Park Jung Hoon, who was in charged of the cinematography of acclaimed action film The Villainess, will be in the creative team with PD Shim Jae Hyun of Producers fame.
