Netflix K-Drama fans, here are new titles to add on your watch list in April

Plunge to the extreme of reality and fantasy with new K-Dramas on Netflix next month. Featuring a highly-anticipated series of powerhouse cast and creative team, Netflix aims to keep its so far successful ride after Crash Landing on You and Kingdom Season 2.

Also making its launch is a thrilling youth drama to be anchored by a lineup of promising young actors and lauded veteran director Kim Jin Min.


THE KING: ETERNAL MONARCH

Taking a fantasy romance drama to a whole new level, The King: Eternal Monarch takes two settings following a parallel universe theme.

King Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) seeks to seal the portal between the two dimensions. Meanwhile, police inspector Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) earnestly hopes to protect the people and her loved ones.

Bannered by a top-tier creative team, the series is penned by Kim Eun Sook of Goblin, Mr. Sunshine and Descendants of the Sun fame. It will be co-directed by Baek Sang-hoon (Secret, Who Are You: School 2015, Descendants of the Sun) and Jeong Jee-hyun (Search: WWW).


EXTRACURRICULAR

Extracurricular tells the stories of high school students who gets involve in a crime and the consequences they have to face in the aftermath.

Boasting of fresh and young actors to play the lead roles, Extracurricular tapped the services of veteran director Kim Jin Min whose works include Lawless Lawyer, The Time Between Dog and Wolf and Marriage Contract. Teaming up with budding writer Jin Han Sae, who took over the script writing duties, the two created an unconventional and exciting youth-centric drama.

K-Dramas on Netflix Extracurricular


Aside from K-Dramas on Netflix, take advantage of an enthralling film featuring a roster of talented actors. Lee Je Hoon, Ahn Jae Hong, Choi Woo Shik, Park Jeong Min and Park Hae Soo star in movie Time To Hunt.

The film tells the story of four friends living in a dystopian city chased by an unknown man. Time to Hunt was invited to the 70th Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala
screening. It is one of the most anticipated Korean films of 2020, and marks the return to the screen of Yoon Sung-hyun, winner for Best New Director at the 32nd Blue Dragon Awards for Bleak Night.

Bringing together the hottest actors of the Korean film industry, the combined portfolio of the cast members includes: Architecture 101, Signal, Be Melodramatic, Reply 1988), Okja, Parasite, Svaha: The Sixth Finger, Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet, Prison Playbook, and Persona.
