Online K-pop Concerts To Look Out For This December 2020

The year is not yet over and the online K-pop concerts continue in December!

The end of the year is coming and with all the approaching holidays, it is probably one of the busiest months, filled with many K-pop shows. This year, due to the current world situation, a lot of the signature year-end concerts and awards ceremonies are going online. Also, some artists are preparing their own shows, making December a month to look forward to.

Melon Music Awards – December 2-5

We start from the very first week with a four-day long awards show, that will present various performances and contents along its duration.

The Melon Music Awards 2020(MMA) is happening from December 2 to 5 and has a vast schedule to check out. From idol panels to award ceremonies, to actual performances, there is much to experience during the short period of time.

Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) – December 6

Just a day later we have Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2020. Scheduled to start with a red carpet and move onto the main ceremony after, the event is confirmed to deliver high quality performances.

This year’s theme is NEW-TOPIA, to which MAMA plans to open the gate and connect fans and artists in the “new normal” era.

THE BOYZ – December 4 & 5

THE BOYZ are planning to hold a special fan-con on December 4 and 5, both online and offline. Titled The Film Festival, the event will serve as a way to celebrate the group’s third debut anniversary.

The concert will take place at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from 8 PM KST. It will also be streamed online, so the idols’ fans from all around the world will be able to join in on this special festival.

B1A4 – December 5

Boy group B1A4, who recently returned with their full-length album Origine, are excited to deliver their own concert on December 5. Documentary Live – directed by B1A4 is raising expectations with its title alone, promising a one of a kind experience with CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan.

The concert will be broadcast Live via Interpark tickets on December 5 at 5 PM KST.

The Fact Music Awards – December 12

Another ceremony show is taking place on December 12 and it is The Fact Music Awards. Just like other similar events, this one is also going online for safety precautions. The ceremony announced a grand lineup of artists that will perform, preparing a spectacular stage for fans.

2020 ALL THE K-POP with Mixchannel – December 12

A concert that will welcome a few outstanding names in the industry is 2020 ALL THE K-POP with Mixchannel and it is happening on December 12. All the artists that will perform are unique with the music they make and will create unforgettable experience for all of their fans.

Tickets are currently on sale on Interpark and the official website and can be purchased until December 10 at 5 PM KST.

Park Jihoon – December 13

Park Jihoon is also getting ready for his solo concert MESSAGE on December 13, where he will show various stages. Those will include performances of songs from his latest album of the same name, as well as his previously released work.

Where to watch: Korean fans can enjoy the show through KT Olleh TV and Seezn. As for overseas fans, they can meet the artist on the KAVECON platform.

Park Jihoon online concert

KBS, SBS & MBC Annual Gayo – December 18, 25 & 31

The annual year-end shows from KBS, SBS and MBC are still happening, just not in the usual way. Like all the other concerts, they will be held online, for fans all over the world to experience. The lineups are yet to be announced, but we are sure to get some top class stages.

KBS Gayo Daechukje chose this year’s theme to be “Connect,” meaning to link artists and fans despite the current threat upon the world. In addition, the show unveiled its MCs to be TVXQ’s Yunho, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo and actress Shin YeEun

  • When: December 18,  at 8:30 PM KST

SBS Gayo Daejeon announced to be held in Daegu as a non-face-to-face concert. Its theme is “The Wonder Year” and the only artist confirmed so far is BTS.

2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse – December 31

Lastly, the year will end with a concert featuring artists from Big Hit Labels. They are planning to give fans a good way to say goodbye to the year and welcome the new one. Moreover, this will be the first concert to feature Big Hit Labels’ artists in one big show through which they will count down the minutes until 2021.
