“Having a concert tour alone in different cities and countries, is really something that I have dreamt of doing for a long time.”

On the evening of January 6, the New Frontier Theatre in Manila came alive with the enchanting melodies of Yesung, as he graced the stage for the second-to-last stop of his Unfading Sense Concert tour. The event, a celebration of Yesung’s latest album, left a lasting impression on both new and seasoned ELFs and CLOUDs.

The concert started with a captivating performance of Yesung’s latest tracks – “Scented Things,” “Fornever,” and “Silhouette” – setting the tone for an evening filled with soulful renditions and captivating vocal performances.

Yesung, an artist that is really close to his fans, took a moment to connect with his Filipino fans during a heartfelt ment. Expressing his dedication, he humorously revealed a new haircut prepared exclusively for his special evening with the audience, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. Before delving into the next segment, Yesung conveyed his commitment to delivering an unforgettable performance, promising an “unfading sense” throughout the night.

The concert’s midsection featured a repertoire of Yesung’s previous classics, including “No More Love,” “Butterfly,” “Moment,” “Floral Sense,” “Beautiful,” and “4 Seasons.” Following this soul-stirring set, Yesung engaged with the audience once again, discussing the nuances of his song choices. He playfully revealed a preference for lively tunes but graciously tailored his selection to cater to the Filipino ELFs’ appreciation for soft and mellow melodies. Light-hearted banter ensued as Yesung, sporting glasses due to poor eyesight, revealed how he used glasses to see his fans more, and urged fans to reduce phone use for them to preserve their good eyesight.

The musical journey continued with enchanting renditions of “Like Us” (Floral Sense ver), “It Has to Be You,” “Bear Hug,” and “Corazon Perdido.” Expressing his sentiments after the emotional ‘Corazon Perdido’ performance, Yesung shared his regret for not selecting the song as the title track for his album Beautiful Night. The artist’s genuine connection with the audience shone through as he playfully teased fans about their devotion to Super Show, and asked if wouldn’t be better for him to come back alone and have a great time with them again.

The later segment showcased Yesung’s ‘Small Things,’ ‘Slide Away,’ and ‘Like Us.’ Reflecting on personal growth and the warmth received from fans, family, and pets, Yesung acknowledged his band members and expressed gratitude to his fans for the opportunity to embark on a tour alone—a dream he had cherished for years.

As the concert drew to a close, Yesung’s final performances of “Together” and “I Am” left the audience in awe, concluding the night on a touching note.

In his parting words, Yesung expressed gratitude for the continuous support from fans and wished them good health until their paths crossed again. The concert, a harmonious blend of musical brilliance and genuine connections, undoubtedly left a profound impact on all who attended.

Yesung’s Unfading Sense Concert in Manila was more than a musical performance; it was a testament to the enduring bond between Yesung and his ELFs and CLOUDs. As the melodies faded away, the memories of this unforgettable night lingered, promising a timeless connection between Yesung and his Filipino admirers.
