BIGBANG Is Beating Out Taylor Swift & Obama On TIME 100 Poll
BIGBANG is making international splashes thank to VIPs: even TIME magazine was shocked to see them rise to the top 3 in the annual TIME 100 poll.
The poll aims to survey readers around the world about the most influential public figures of the year. The K-pop band was nominated for the poll along with 2NE1‘s CL, and at the time of writing they were at 2nd place right after politician Bernie Sanders, with 2,7% of the votes. BIGBANG managed to rise above international superstar Taylor Swift, as well as President Barack Obama and even Pope Francis.
This is not the first time that K-pop stars managed to catch attention on the TIME 100 poll. Last year CL came second behind Vladimir Putin, and Rain has already won the poll three times in his career.
You can still vote for BIGBANG until 11:59 p.m. EST, April 13. The poll results will be announced on April 21. Hwaiting, VIPs!
