BLACKPINK Exceeds 1 Billion YouTube Views With “Kill This Love” Music Video

Femme fatale quartet BLACKPINK unlocks yet another impressive milestone on the YouTube platform with their 2019 track “Kill This Love”.

Just recently, the girl group’s music video for “Kill This Love” has officially joined the one-billion club on YouTube. Notably, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa were able to achieve the amazing record in one year, four months, and 28 days after the song’s successful global release on April 5, 2019.

Additionally, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” officially became the only fourth k-pop music video to surpass the said massive amount of views. The only other songs that the achieved the record are “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” by Psy, “DDU-DU-DDU-DU” by BLACKPINK, and BTS’ “DNA”.

Aside from its YouTube success, the track likewise gained various accolades. Quickly after its release, “Kill This Love” entered Billboard’s Hot 100 single chart and placed 41st – the highest for a K-Pop girl group. Moreover, it became the “Music Video of 2019” at the E! People’s Choice Awards.
