BLACKPINK Surpasses 700 Million Views With “Kill This Love” In Less Than A Year After Its Release

South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has added a brand-new record with their latest hit “Kill This Love”.
Just recently, the femme fatale group’s music video for their well-loved track “Kill This Love” has officially surpassed the 700-million mark on YouTube. Notably, Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa were able to achieve the amazing milestone in just less than a year after the song’s successful global release on April 5, 2019. In particular, it took approximately 9 months for the girls to obtain the record.
Additionally, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” officially became their third music video to surpass the said massive amount of views. Other tracks of the quartet that likewise joined the 700-million club on YouTube are their record-breaking hits “DDU-DU-DDU-DU”, “BOOMBAYAH”, and recently “As If It’s Your Last”.
Aside from its YouTube success, the track likewise gained various accolades. Quickly after its release, “Kill This Love” entered Billboard’s Hot 100 single chart and placed 41st – the highest for a K-Pop girl group. Moreover, it became the “Music Video of 2019” at the E! People’s Choice Awards.
