A new amazing feat for BLACKPINK!

Sought-after K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has bagged another impressive milestone on the YouTube platform with their music video for their debut track “BOOMBAYAH.”

On November 12, the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, shared that BLACKPINK has officially surpassed 1.5 billion views with their “BOOMBAYAH” music video. They were able to hit the online achievement about seven months after reaching the 1.4 billion mark.

Back on August 8, 2016, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa released “BOOMBAYAH” as part of their debut single album Square One. It took them around six years, three months, and three days to achieve the YouTube feat since its release.

Notably, BLACKPINK obtained a new record as the first-ever K-pop artist to reach 1.5 billion views with three music videos. Following “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH” became the group’s third music video to hit the milestone.

Meanwhile, in related news, the femme fatale quartet is currently delighting fans in the United States and Canada with their ongoing world tour BORN PINK. After gifting fans with a two-day concert in Chicago, the girls are set to meet fans in Newark next on November 14 and 15.
