BLACKPINK’s Lisa Reaches 500 Million Views With “LALISA” MV

Lisa of the femme fatale quartet BLACKPINK has recorded a new feat with her solo debut title track “LALISA.”

On June 25, Lisa’s music video for “LALISA” officially reached the 500-million mark on the YouTube platform. She was able to attain the milestone in around nine months and two weeks after its successful global release in September last year.This has now become the fastest music video by a female K-pop soloist to achieve the feat.  

In addition, it became her second music video to surpass the 500-million count. Earlier this year, she previously surpassed the 500-million count with her performance video for “MONEY.”

Back on September 10, 2021, Lisa made her highly-awaited grand debut with her first single album LALISA. It is accompanied by the title track of the same name and another song called “MONEY.”

Just four days after her debut announcement, the album amassed over 700,000 pre-order sales. The album also became the best-selling single album by a K-Pop female solo artist.

“LALISA” charms with its fierce melodies and trendy beats partnered with Lisa’s lovely vocals and impressive rapping skills. Aside from topping real-time local charts, Lisa also topped the iTunes Song Charts in at least 60 countries.

Showing her popularity as a soloist, the BLACKPINK member also raked in notable recognitions. In October 2021, she bagged two amazing Guinness World Records. “LALISA” became the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours and the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.
