BTS’ “Butter” MV Unlocks 800 Million YouTube Views

BTS’ “Butter” music video has achieved a new YouTube milestone!

Worldwide K-Pop septet BTS has raked in their eighth music video to surpass 800 million views on the YouTube platform with “Butter.”

On August 25, the boy group’s music video for “Butter” officially joined the 800-million club on YouTube. They were able to obtain the impressive online feat in just one year, three months, and four days after its global release.

Back on May 21, 2021, at 1 PM KST, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook brought fans to a smooth era by releasing their English digital single “Butter.” The music video for “Butter” is full of various things to see, from group dances that show tight breathing among the members, unit choreography focusing on cool charm, and each member’s unique solo dance in the background of the elevator.

8th MV to garner 800 million views

BTS now holds a total of eight music videos to exceed 800 million views. Aside from “Butter,” the other tracks of the group that previously reached the achievement were “DNA,” “Boy With Luv,” “Fake Love,” “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” “IDOL,” “Dynamite,” and “Blood Sweat & Tears.”

Meanwhile, “Butter” bagged amazing accolades in 2021. After debuting at the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart on June 5, 2021,  the song was able to top the chart for 10 weeks until September. The music video also recently won the Best Group Video at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in Japan.
