BTS officially locked in its 19th music video with more than 100 million views with the enthralling solo song by Jimin.

For ARMYs, it was really only a matter of time before this achievement happened. As of May 16, “Serendipity”, the solo song of Jimin surpassed 100 million views, making it the 19th music video of BTS and the first solo song by a member to do surpass 100 million views.

“Serendipity” is Jimin’s second solo track, and the intro to the 2017 album Love Yourself: Her. The comeback trailer was unveiled on September 2017, meaning the achievement was a year and eight months in the making.

ARMYs took to social media to celebrate the feat using the hashtags #Serendipity100M and #SerendipitybyJimin100M which then took over Twitter trends.

Prior to this phenomenal achievement, Jimin’s solo songs shone on various music charts.

“Serendipity” garnered over 50 million streams on Spotify, alongside his earlier solo song, “Lie”. His solo song has gained the attention of European and North American audiences, earning praise from various celebrities in the United States including Khalid.

Beyond his work with BTS, Jimin has been cultivating his talents as a solo artist.

On December 2018, Jimin released his self-composed and written solo song, “Promise”, online. The song now holds the record for the biggest first-day debut on the music and podcast streaming platform SoundCloud after hitting 8.5 million streams in 24 hours since it was uploaded.
