Disney+ Seals Premiere of Korean Crime Thriller “Gold Land”

Prepare for a high-stakes chase! Gold Land, an original Korean crime thriller, will premiere April 29 exclusively on Disney+, starring Park Boyoung and Kim Sung Cheol.

The series marks the streaming debut of acclaimed Old Boy screenwriter Hwang Joyoon.

The story follows Kim Heeju (Park Boyoung), a young airport employee whose life takes a dramatic turn when she is unknowingly drawn into a smuggling operation. Suddenly on the run with a fortune in gold bars, Heeju must outwit dangerous criminals—including Woogy (Kim Sung Cheol), a relentless enforcer—while confronting a past she tried to leave behind.

Directed by visionary Kim Sunghoon (Chief Detective 1958, Confidential Assignment), and written by Hwang Joyoon (Old Boy, Memoir of a Murderer), the series combines heart-pounding action with gripping suspense.

Gold Land launches with a two-episode premiere on April 29, with two new episodes each Wednesday through the season finale on May 27. Disney+ subscribers can also explore other must-watch Korean titles like Made In Korea, Tempest, and reality hit Battle of Fates.
