“Doctor Cha” Soars New-High Nationwide Viewership Ratings
From a modest beginning, Doctor Cha continues to impress viewers with its inspiring storytelling.
Proving its noteworthy craze, the viewership ratings continue to rise from 4.9% in the first episode, it climbed to 11.2 in the 4th episode. Thereafter, it maintained its double-digit ratings.
Notably, episode 8 notches its highest rating to date at 16.1% nationwide rating and 16.8% Seoul metropolitan rating.
In the 8th episode, Cha Jeong-suk (Uhm Jung Hwa) confronts the reality of her husband’s infidelity. Her children who both learned the truth before her tried to protect her by hiding it.
Unfortunately, she learned it on her own through her husband’s mistress social media page and on her birthday.
With such a cliffhanger, viewers are anticipating Jeong-suk’s decision after learning about her husband’s betrayal.
Doctor Cha threads on the story of a woman who pursues her initial dream of becoming a doctor after a near-death experience.
Continuing her residency training, she confronts the harsh realities of equipping herself with new knowledge far different from what she used to know since time warranted changes to the career she chose.
