Doctor Prisoner is a medical suspense drama that tells the story of a talented doctor working in a prestigious hospital.  After being caught up in a controversy, he is forced to quit while he became the medical director of a prison.

Joining Nam Goong Min, is a powerful cast that completes the much awaited drama.

Getting entangled between the hospital she is working and the prison where she volunteers, Kwon Nara aims to challenge herself on her first medical role.

Praised for her various roles including a prosecutor character in her debut drama Suspicious Partner and announcer in Your Honor, his first collaboration with Nam Goong Min is billed to further the actress’ growing portfolio.

In an interview, Kwon said, “I am a passionate person who wants to try out a medical drama, and I’m excited about working with Nam Goong Min, as a viewer and and as a fan. We will prepare a lot for you to enjoy the fun and try our best to repay you with good acting.”

Fresh from his successful stint in Sky Castle, Choi Won Young will turn into a prominent successor of a conglomerate. Unlike other chaebols, he studied abroad and has accumulated management skills and trust from the bottom of the ladder. He flaunt a sharp charisma hidden under his gentle appearance, and raise the tension of the drama.


The ambitious villain will be played by Kim Byung Chul. He has made the prison his own castle based on wealth and power accumulated through the support of various VIPs. Kim, who showed overwhelming presence in Descendants of the Sun, Mr. Sunshine, and Sky Castle, is expected to see actor Nam Goong Min in a fierce good versus evil breathtaking performance.

An official in the production said “We look forward to the thrilling psychological war between Nam and Kim.”

Lee Da In, Park Eun Seok, and Jin Hee Kyung are also revealed to join the anticipated KBS2 series.

Taking the audience by storm with her youthful looks and refreshing acting skills, Lee Da In suits up for her role as a daughter of a rich family who entered law school to protect her family and the hospital from bankruptcy.

Park Eun Sak will also join the dysfunctional chaebol family as the son who suffers inferiority complex knowing that he is a love child.

Meanwhile, Jin Hee Hyung will play the role of a former actress who married a rich man. She exudes strong maternal love for his sons.

The new KBS Drama Doctor Prisoner is expected to be aired in March.
