Ji Chang Wook And Won Jin Ah Prep Up For Their Sweet Romance In “Melting Me Softly”

Flashing their big smiles, Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah gear up for their new fantasy romance drama.

Raising fans’ anticipation, tvN released photos from the cast and crew of Melting Me Softly in their first meeting in July.

Taking an interesting premise of a 24-hour freezing project between men and women, it bumps on a hiccup though, resulting the participants wake up 20 years after. For their love pairing, Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah intend to show a memorable love tale based on the unique storyline.

Meet the cast & showrunners

Boasting an impressive combined portfolio, director Shin Woo Chul and writer Baek Mi Kyung aspire another hit series. They have worked on well-loved fantasy dramas such as Secret Garden and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Additionally, acclaimed romance series including City Hall, A Gentleman’s Dignity and Beloved Eun Dong are also their notable projects.

Together with the production team, the cast members were in high spirit as the meeting was filled with laughter. Present in the scenario reading were main leads Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah. Their senior actors Yoon Se Ah, Lim Won Hee, Kim Won Hae and Jeon Soo Kyung were also in attendance. Marking his first acting stint, Golden Child’s Bomin also participated.

Portraying the role of star variety show PD, Ji Chang Wook enjoyed the pleasant interaction with his fellow senior and junior actors. His character, Ma Dong Chan, is deemed to struggle after the mishap in the cryptic “frozen human project”. With his lost fame and the time he missed in the last 20 years, how his story will unfold is worth expecting.

The production crew reported excellent mood and character immersion in the first script reading activity. Adding that the undeniable chemistry of the cast was in perfect synergy to the creative world imagined by PD Shin and writer Baek.

Melting Me Softly eyes broadcast date in the second half of the year, after the last installment of Arthdal Chronicles.
