Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Jun Are Locked In A Sweet Gaze In “The Midnight Romance In Hagwon”

tvN’s new weekend drama is all set to launch on May 11.

The Midnight Romance in Hagwon unfolds a secret and sweet real-life romance between veteran academy instructor Seo Hye-jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and Lee Jun-ho (Wi Ha Jun), a cheeky student who returns after 10 years and stirs her heart.

A secret midnight romance that begins when the lights go out in an academy district, and the colorful stories of academy instructors are depicted in detail in this new series.

The series is penned by writer Park Kyung-hwa and produced by Studio Dragon and JS Pictures Co., Ltd. Helming the project is Director Ahn Pan Suk of Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and Secret Love Affair fame.

Jung Ryeo Won plays the role of Seo Hye-jin, a 14-year veteran Korean language instructor who achieved the ‘Daechi-dong miracle’. She is a quiet fighter who does not give up and has a solid inner strength that never fails. Just as she was thinking about her past dreams, Hye-jin’s daily life became turbulent when Lee Jun-ho, the ‘bad guy’ whom she put all her effort into sending to a prestigious university, appeared for the first time in 10 years.

Next, Wi Ha Jun plays Lee Jun-ho, a new instructor who disrupts the daily life of teacher Hye-jin. Jun-ho is the protagonist of the ‘Daechi-dong Miracle’ that made Hye-jin a famous instructor.

One day, he suddenly returns to the academy where Hye-jin, a teacher who gave him a dramatic turnaround in life. He throws away his employee ID card from a large company that guarantees him a solid career.

The Midnight Romance in Hagwon premieres on May 11 at 9:20 p.m. on tvN!
