‘The Liar and His Lover’ runs in a beautiful melody of friendship and music.  It reverberates rhythm of trust and young love.

Smoothly narrated with hints of charm, sweet scenes and optimism, The Liar and His Lover will grow fond in your heart without you realizing it. It has a strangely engaging ambiance due to the endearing heroine, who bravely chased a one-sided love with a genius songwriter who lied about his true intentions for her.

This youth drama tells the story of a high school girl named Yoon So Rim (played by Red Velvet’s Joy)who is aspiring to become a famous singer.  Lee Hyun Woo stars as Kang Han Gyul, a music prodigy who produces songs for a famous rock band ‘Crude Play’.  When he accidentally learned of his girlfriend’s infidelity, his anguished emotions triggered a beautiful melody, which he recorded by borrowing a cellphone from a stranger – who turned out to be Yoon So Rim.

A few fated encounters made Yoon So Rim believed that Kang Han Gyul is her destined first love. After that, she has been vocal in declaring that she likes him.  To protect his recent composition, he became friendly with her so he could coax her in deleting the recording.  Just as the lies he hid from her backfired leaving her heartbroken, he began seeing her in a romantic light.

The Liar and His Lover moves to a heartwarming pace on how the lead girl will inspire and amuse you as she tackled her personal battles and love problems.  At the same time, the lead man will remind you how love needs not to be cushioned and calculated.  The Liar and His Lover keeps a stable drive of a fetching love tale, thanks to the cheesy romantic frames of the main leads.

Catch it on TVN every Mondays and Tuesdays at 11:00 p.m KST.
