Made In Korea Soars to No. 1 on Disney+ APAC, Season 2 Already in Motion

Disney+ has another breakout hit on its hands. Made In Korea has officially become the number one most-viewed Korean Original premiere of 2025 on Disney+ across APAC — cementing its place as this year’s standout crime noir sensation.

The milestone follows a banner year of high-impact storytelling from the platform, including titles like Hyper Knife, Tempest, The Manipulated, Nine Puzzles, and Gannibal Season 2.

Originally released on December 24, Made In Korea Season 1 plunges viewers into a high-stakes world of ambition and betrayal. At its center is Baek Kitae, a brilliant and calculating KCIA agent leading a dangerous double life. By day, he serves the government; by night, he orchestrates an illegal smuggling empire. His cunning maneuvers allow him to climb the ranks, shield his younger brother, and funnel massive profits into agency coffers.

But Kitae’s ascent faces one immovable obstacle: a relentless prosecutor who refuses to be bribed or broken. As the two men lock horns, the series delivers a gripping battle of wits where power, loyalty, and survival hang in the balance.

The drama boasts a powerhouse cast led by Hyun Bin as Baek Kitae, Jung Woo-sung as the uncompromising prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, and Woo Do-hwan as Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun.
