MBC Drama “Gaslighting” Names Kim Hee Sun, Lee Hye Young and More As Main Leads

A successful psychological counselor faces a predicament and cooperates with her mother-in-law to protect her precious family in Gaslighting.

This new MBC series is slated to broadcast in the second half of the year.

Director Kim Seung Woo is in charge of the production with writer Nam Ji-yeon (So I Married An Anti-Fan) penning the script.

Portraying Roh Young-won, the best psychological counselor in Korea and a perfect career woman is Kim Hee Sun. Young-won who is envied by many falls into a whirlpool where her happiness is threatened as she faces all the secrets in an instant due to an unexpected incident.

Next, seasoned actress Lee Hye Young plays Young-won’s mother-in-law and detective writer Hong Sa-gang. She is a charismatic, prickly and sensitive mother-in-law who often clashes with her younger brother. Due to an incident, she conspires with her daughter-in-law to protect the family.

Meanwhile, Kim Nam Hee was cast in the role of Jae-jin, the clean and perfect husband of Young-won. He is a caring husband, a father with good empathy, and a recognized doctor.

Lastly, Kang Hae Rim (Somebody, Live On) who has been highly acclaimed for her delicate emotional and stable acting skills plays the mysterious Se-na.

Gaslighting is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2023.
