Based on a webtoon of the same name, Mystic Pop-up Bar highlights the story of a surly late-night bar owner and her naive young part-timer. Together, they enter customers’ dreams to counsel them and help soothe their emotional baggage.
In the released video trailer, the main characters are shown in a significant encounter that would change their lives.
After discovering he is clairvoyant, Kang Bae (Yook Sung Jae) struggles in his empath ability. Feeling the woes of people is sure a handful task for a young man like him. Stumbling on a tent bar, he seeks help from Weol Ju (Hwang Jung Eum). The latter has the ability to enter customer’s dream to help ease unresolved sorrows.
As if luck befalls on her, Weol Ju who is in a quota race to settle 100,000 grudges of troubled souls welcome Kang Bae with open arms. Working together, they cross between the mystic pop-up bar in the mortal World and people’s dreams in the World-In-Between.
Previously, a teaser video introduced the main characters including Guibanjang (Choi Won Young) who is Weol Ju’s assistant and also a grudge settler.
Mystic Pop-up Bar begins counselling over drinks on May 20, 10PM Philippine time, via Netflix.
