Jang Dong Yoon, who gained popularity for his portrayal of the character Jeon Nok-du in The Tale of Nokdu, will take on the role of Lee Doo Hak, a man with an intelligent mind and clear soul despite growing up in poverty. He had a sincere affection for Oh Jung Shin, a transfer student from Seoul, with whom he experienced love at first sight. Lee Doo Hak is caught up in an unforeseen circumstance, but he continues to live an adventurous life.

With his impressive acting skills and versatility, K-Drama fans can look forward to another stellar performance from the talented actor.

Seol In Ah, who stole viewers’ attention through her role as Jin Young-seo in the romantic comedy-drama Business Proposal, will play Oh Jung Shin, who is always honest and confident. She knows how to fight and stand up to injustice, and she relentlessly pursues her goals. She creates priceless memories at school after relocating from Seoul as she falls in love and forms a close connection with Lee Doo Hak and Choi Chul Woong.

Given her amazing ability to build a genuine connection with her co-stars, the audience can look forward to her chemistry with Jang Dong Yoon.

Lastly, Chu Young Woo will portray Lee Doo Hak’s childhood friend and fated rival Choi Chul Woong. He despises losing because he is a top student who consistently receives the top grade in the entire school. Chul Woong has everything, but he is unable to win the love of one girl.

The production team of “Oasis” commented, “[The drama] will deliver new fun to this generation of viewers who are enthusiastic about and relate to the ’80s and ’90s, and we will give an immersive story to the older generations who remember those days. Please highly anticipate the story of youth depicted by Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, and Chu Young Woo, the three actors who were born in the ’90s.”

Oasis will reportedly begin filming in September and will air on the small screens in the first half of 2023.
