Park Eun Bin Leads ‘Spooky In Love’ Alongside Yang Se Jong, Ong Seong Wu
Park Eun Bin, Yang Se Jong and Ong Seong Wu will star in tvN’s upcoming weekend drama Spooky In Love, slated to air in July, the production team confirmed.
Directed by Lee Min-soo and written by Choi Jung-mi, the series is an occult romance based on the hit film Spellbound. It follows a chaebol heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor who fears them, as they become entangled in mysterious incidents and develop an unexpected relationship.
At a script reading held on April 30, the cast and production team gathered to begin work on the project. Park Eun-bin, who opened the session with a lighthearted remark about delivering “chills” during the summer season, takes on the role of Cheon Yeo-ri, a luxury hotel heiress who isolates herself due to her supernatural ability.
Yang Se-jong plays Ma Kang-wook, a principled prosecutor who confronts his fear of ghosts while assisting Yeo-ri in investigating a series of suspicious cases. Ong Seong-wu portrays Kang Min-hwan, CEO of CL Raymond Hotel, whose warm demeanor conceals a more ambitious and calculating side.
According to the production team, the drama will combine romance, mystery and supernatural elements, focusing on the pair’s pursuit of hidden truths behind a death while gradually developing a deeper emotional bond.
The team added that viewers can expect “thrills, goosebumps and catharsis” from the story, highlighting the chemistry among the lead actors as a key point of anticipation.
Park Eun-bin is also set to appear in the Netflix series The WONDERfools in May, ahead of Spellbound Romance’s July premiere.
