Slated to air on August 9, Police University drops drama poster featuring its lead casts Cha Tae Hyun and Jung Jin Young!

The new KBS 2TV series tells the story of a veteran detective-turned-professor who meets rookie students in the police university.

He will meet Kang Sun Ho (Jung Jin Young) a former hacker and is now his student who uses his intelligence in deciphering every case. Together, they work in conducting criminal investigations.

Despite clashing fiercely, veteran detective Yoo Dong Man and the 19-year old genius hacker Kang Sun Ho will affectionately work together and show cross-generational chemistry.

In the newly released poster, Yoo Dong Man approached Kang Sun Ho by locking his arms around his neck. The text reads, “Do you want to be a police officer? Come here, I’ll teach you.”

While caught in Yoo Dong Man’s embrace, Kang Sun Ho shows an awkward face as the message beside him translates, “P… please take good care of me.”

Raising anticipations for their chemistry with contrasting personalities and charms, Cha Tae Hyun portrays a relaxed pose in his police uniform while Jung Jin Young shows off his fresh charm in a school uniform.

In particular, Cha Tae Hyun represents the older generation who gives his all whenever an incident occurred. Meanwhile, Jung Jin Young represents the younger (digital) generation who uses his intelligence to crack every case.

Viewers are curious to see what kind of relationship will be formed as two people with unlike personalities meet as a professor and student in a police university.

Scriptwriter Min Jung expressed, “Police University is a story about the growth of young adults. Also, it is a detective story that revolves around solving different cases which is central to the entire drama. The students who dream of becoming police officers and the professors who teach them are considered both teachers and students as well as partners. Please look forward to how two people in different generations solve each case and undergo the process of understanding and encouraging each other.”

Police University will premiere on August 9 at 9:30 PM KST. International fans can watch it on Viu.
