Prime Video Confirms “Spring Fever” Release Date: New K-Drama Rom-Com Stars Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Been

Prime Video has announced the upcoming premiere of Spring Fever, a new Korean romance-comedy series featuring Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-been. The series is set to debut on January 5, with two episodes released weekly across more than 240 countries and territories.

Directed by Park Won-gook and written by Kim Ah-jeong, Spring Fever follows the unexpected relationship between Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-been), a reserved high school teacher, and Sun Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), an unpredictable man whose fiery personality shakes up a quiet rural village. Their contrasting temperaments create a warm and humorous romance at the heart of the series.

The cast includes Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Joo-been, Cha Seo-won, Cho Jun-young, Lee Jae-in, Jin Kyung, and Bae Jung-nam. The drama also marks the return of director Park Won-gook, known for the global hit Marry My Husband.

Prime Video released images from the script reading session, offering fans an early look at the cast in character. Ahn Bo-hyun showcased lively comedic timing and embraced the Busan dialect for his role as Sun Jae-gyu. Lee Joo-been portrayed Yoon Bom with a calm exterior and subtle warmth, highlighting the dynamic chemistry between the lead actors.

Cha Seo-won takes on the role of Choi I-jun, an elite lawyer entangled between the two leads. Cho Jun-young appears as Sun Han-gyul, Jae-gyu’s nephew and the top student at Shinsu High School, while Lee Jae-in plays Choi Se-jin, Han-gyul’s outspoken rival. Their presence adds youthful energy to the series.

Supporting cast members—including Jin Kyung, Bae Jung-nam, Kim Beong-choun, Oh Man-seok, and Jung Young-ki—are expected to bring additional humor and depth to the storyline.

Ahn Bo-hyun shared, “The script was incredibly fun, and I was drawn to playing an uncle for the first time. I think viewers will enjoy a drama full of laughter.”
Lee Joo-been added, “The village setting, scenic views, and witty humor are major highlights. The chemistry between students and teachers also brings a lot of charm.”

Spring Fever blends romantic tension, comedic moments, and youth-centered storylines, making it a notable addition to Prime Video’s growing slate of Korean content. New episodes will be available every Monday and Tuesday.
