“RACE” Vaunts Lead Characters In Latest Teasers

Disney+ upcoming workplace drama, RACE, has rounded up character introductions!

RACE features the story of strong-willed Park Yoon-jo. What she lacks in qualifications and experience she more than makes up for in tenacity and drive.

But when everyone in the company discovers that several recent hires were made as part of a newly created diversity program, Yoon-jo will have to overcome the insurmountable to win their approval.

Yoon-jo has spent her entire career trying to prove that she belongs. Born into a family without means, she was unable to secure a university degree or lean upon her family connections to get ahead, but what Yoon-jo lacks in formal education she more than makes up for in her work ethic.

In RACE, viewers follow along as Yoon-jo battles against a stacked deck to secure her dream job at Seyong, a huge Korean conglomerate.

Although it appears Yoon-jo’s luck has finally taken a turn for the better, reality quickly steps in to prove her wrong, forcing Yoon-jo to work harder than ever to overcome the seemingly impossible and prove to everyone that she belongs where she is.

The series stars Lee Yeon Hee (New Year Blues, Welcome to Wedding Hell) as “diversity hire” Park Yoon-jo; Moon So Ri (The Handmaiden, Seoul Vibe) as Goo Yi-jung, the leading voice in the PR industry; Hong Jong Hyun (Moon Lovers) as Yoonjo’s friend Ryu Jae-min; and Jung Yun Ho (Dating On Earth) as CEO of Earth Communication Seo Dong-hoon.

Passionate Temporary Worker Park Yoon-jo

Pioneering her own life amidst a recruitment scandal and a hard life, Yoon-jo is a picture of the pragmatic appearance of a Korean office worker.

For her preparation, Lee Yeon Hee cut her hair short and donned casual office clothing suited to an office worker.

As seen in the stills released today, she looks brimming with energy. Clenching her fists, beaming brightly; she exudes an encouraging vibe.

Next, Hong Jong Hyun plays the role of Ryu Jae-min. He is envied as an ace recognized for his ability to write perfect press releases and clean work in the PR office of a large company. Interestingly, he is a person who has no greed for work and no expectations for the company.

Contrary to his best friend Yoon-jo, who has no specs but has a full level of passion, he shows the image of an office worker born in the 90s who values ​​work-life balance.

As he works with Yoon-jo, he is looking forward to seeing his life excitement unfolding while changing little by little.

Moon So Ri as PR Specialist Gu Yi-jung

Portraying PR specialist Gu Yi-jung, Moon So Ri has a well-established career in public relations. With experience working in Korea and the United States, the first foreigner to be in charge of strategic communication at the US presidential election camp.

As Yi-jung has more activities abroad than domestically, she has become a role model not only for the industry but also for people living in this era. For that, he was selected as the 2022 Influential Female PR Leader Consultant. She is a college classmate of the new CEO of a conglomerate company, Seyong. From there, she became the company’s CCO Chief Public Relations Officer.

In particular, as she works with Yoon-jo and Jae-min in the Public Relations Office of Seyong, she is expected to influence each other and lead change together.

Jung Yunho as Reliable CEO 

Playing the role of Seo Dong-hoon, the young CEO of Earthcom, a leader in the public relations industry, Jung Yunho is captured in his various charms.

Seo Dong-hoon is a multi-talented person with PR planning, design, and PT ability which come in handy when persuading others. Although he is relatively young to be the CEO of a public relations agency, he leads the company with a flexible, non-authoritative approach. His distinct way of communicating with people came from his experience living overseas.

He meets Park Yoon-jo as he participates in a PT for a brand promotion competition for conglomerate company Seyong. While working on a project together, he is positively evaluated and highly trusted by the people around him with wise choices and actions despite various interests.

Jung Yunho’s character stills display the ideal image of a young CEO in various ways. Showing off his confident boss look, he is seen fixated on his computer working on his tasks and then looking cordial while engaging in business meetings.

RACE will be released worldwide only on Disney+ on May 10!
