WINNER’s Seungyoon Joins MBC’s Time-Traveling Thriller Series “Kairos”
Kang Seung Yoon of boy group Winner is confirmed in the main cast of MBC’s fantasy thriller, Kairos.
Returning to the small screen since his well-loved stint in highly-lauded drama, Prison Playbook, Seungyoon readies for a key role in Kairos.
The newest MBC thriller-fantasy drama spurs a riveting plot taking a time-traveling premise. It has previously announced its lead cast including Shin Sung Rok, Lee Se Young, Ahn Bo Hyun and Nam Gyu Ri.
Kairos depicts the struggles of two men and women trying to backpedal the tragedies that struck their lives. As the people from present and past come across, series of unpredictable crisis and conflicts occur.
For his role in Kairos, Seungyoon plays the role of Im Gun Wook. He is a friend of Ah Ri (Lee Se Young) who supports her wholeheartedly.
In the drama, Ah Ri desperately searches for her mother and Seungyoon’s character helps his friend’s crisis. Inevitably, he gives major contribution to solve the case.
Challenging his newest acting project, the synergy with Lee Se Young draws attention from the fans. The idol-actor has also appeared in sitcom Highkick 3 and web dramas We Broke Up and Love For A Thousand More.
Kang Seung Yoon, has been immersing in character research for his role as Im Gun Wook to meet the expectations of viewers and producers.
“As soon as I read the script, I think Kairos is a fascinating work. I am very excited to be able to greet you as an actor in a long time,” Seungyoon said.
He added, “It’s still not enough, but I will do my best. I would appreciate it if you could watch it with warm eyes.”
Kairos will be broadcast in the second half of this year.
