BIGBANG Renews Contract With YG Entertainment

BIGBANG continues their relationship with YG Entertainment

South Korean iconic group BIGBANG extends their strong and long-lasting relationship with YG Entertainment. After returning from over a year of hiatus, they renewed their exclusive contract with the agency.

On March 11, YG announced, “BIGBANG members G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, and Daesung have all renewed their exclusive contracts.”

“YG will provide support for BIGBANG so that the band can continue to write new K-pop history in the world music scene as artists representing YG,” the agency added.

YG also revealed that BIGBANG will accelerate preparations for a new music release this year.

For the third time, BIGBANG has renewed their exclusive contract with the agency. Previously, they signed contracts with YG in 2011 and 2015.

The group has been on hiatus since enlistment in mandatory military service, and was schedule to appear at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California in April. But, due to Coronavirus concerns, the annual festival has been postponed to October.

BIGBANG made their debut under YG Entertainment in 2006. While, all BIGBANG members have been together for 20 years since their trainee days. Since their debut, BIGBANG has already released numerous hit songs and managed to establish an unrivaled domain.
