On December 20, YG Entertainment released a statement regarding G-Dragon through BIGBANG’s official website.

“This is YG Entertainment.

G-Dragon was one of our iconic artists, and every time we spent with him since BIGBANG debuted in 2006 was an honor. We sincerely wish G-Dragon blessings on his new start. We ask for a lot of support and encouragement from our fans.

Thank you.”

G-Dragon’s  exclusive contract with YG Entertainment expired last June. At the time, YG said that they are still working together through a separate contract for other activities such as advertisements. They initially planned to negotiate additional contracts when his music activities resume. Since then, the BIGBANG leader has not made any specific statement despite several rumors of transfers to other agencies.

Meanwhile, Galaxy Corporation shared that they will hold an official press conference on December 21 to share G-Dragon’s drug issue, which he was found not guilty of. Although the artist himself will not be present during the event, the agency will also discuss his future activities for the coming year 2024.

We wish G-Dragon all the best in his next chapter!
