Upon release of Jennie’s first single “Solo”, it has been creating the sweetest frenzy, with successes in music charts.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie showed South Korea and the rest of the world that she is more than just a pretty face and fashion icon as she unleashes more of her charms and talents in her debut single “Solo”.

Jennie is the first member of the girl group to release a solo song, serving as the frontrunner in the planned solo releases of all members first announced by YG Entertainment last month.

And Jennie did not disappoint as she takes over local and international charts as soon as her song was unveiled on November 12.

YG Entertainment announced on November 13 that “Solo” notched an all-kill in eight local music streaming charts including Melon, Bugs, Genie, and Mnet.

Additionally, it also secured iTunes top spot in 49 countries including Hong Kong, Cambodia, Argentina, Indonesia, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Poland, and Malaysia.

“Solo” touches the message of a woman who has emancipated herself from her lover and routine relationship that does not make her heart flutters.

Capturing hints of pop and hip-hop, “Solo” highlights dance tunes and a superb play of Jennie’s haunting vocals and biting rap.

In related news, BLACKPINK is set to stage eight concerts in seven cities from November 2018 to March 2019.

The girl group’s destinations will include Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.
