BLACKPINK’s charismatic member Jennie achieves yet another impressive feat with her well-loved single “SOLO.”
Earlier today, Jennie’s music video for her first single titled “SOLO” officially hit the 500-million mark on YouTube. Remarkably, she is the first-ever female soloist to garner the said massive amount of YouTube views. She was able to achieve the milestone in just one year, eight months, and 15 days after the song’s successful release on November 12, 2018.
Delighted with her recent record, BLACKPINK’s Jennie took to Instagram to celebrate her wonderful milestone. She shared some old photos and videos to reminisce about her preparations for the track.
“I’m so grateful for all the love for ‘SOLO.’ This song means so much to me and I’d like to thank you all for supporting this song to this day and thank you to the amazing staff members who made it all possible. For a surprise gift- I’ll upload an unreleased video which was shot back then – Thank you,” she wrote in the caption.
As the first member from the K-Pop quartet to release a single, the beautiful and talented idol definitely impressed everyone as she showed off her charisma as a performer. Not just on stage, she also proved her power in the worldwide music scene. In 2018, she was able to secure top spots in domestic and international charts soon after dropping her solo debut track.
