BTS dominates the number 1 and 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100. So now, we finally know what Jin meant with the line “You’re one, you’re two” in “Boy With Luv”!

BTS recently made headlines with their English track, “Dynamite”, as it spent two weeks sitting on its throne at the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The milestone officially made BTS the first Korean act to achieve such an impressive feat. Just when you think the Bangtan Boys couldn’t possibly outdo themselves; they do. While “Dynamite” settled to the second spot on the charts, “Savage Love” achieved the top spot.

Boys With Record-breaking Powers

BTS isn’t just a septet of Boys With Luv and Boys With Fun; they are a squad of boys with record-breaking powers too! With their first collective English song debuting on the coveted number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, they became the first Korean act to achieve the milestone. while basking in its glory, “Dynamite” dropped to the second spot in its third week.

However, the tables have turned once again with the song migrating back to the top followed by “Savage Love”, which is a collaboration between BTS, Jason Derulo, and Jaws 685.

The last time that a group ruled the two top spots of the Billboard was back in the summer of 2009, the time when Black Eyed Peas spearheaded the music scene with their massive hits, “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”.

Once again, BTS showcased their excellent powers of record-breaking, barrier-shattering, and universally charming talent.

The Era of BTS

Fresh off their successful two-day digital concert event, Map of the Soul ON:E, BTS is gearing up to take the stage at the Billboard Music Awards and have been nominated for the categories, Top Social Artist, and Top Duo/Group. Undoubtedly prepared to light up the stage with their brilliance, the ensemble definitely has the capacity to bring home the gold.

Without worrying about remaining relevant, BTS is known for innovating and leading the trend. 2020 has been a busy year for the Korean superstars, and only time will tell what other astounding climatic crescendos they will reach.

Despite the restrictions brought about due to the pandemic, BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have found safe ways to work around it and remained connected to their craft and ARMY. If this is what they can do within a pandemic, the possibilities are infinite when the coast is clear.
