BTS, EXO, & SEVENTEEN Announced As Top K-Pop Boy Groups In October Brand Rankings

Hats off to BTS, EXO, and SEVENTEEN for being crowned as the leading male idol groups for the month of October!

The Korean Research Business Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for K-Pop boy groups. Specifically, the organization named the talented bands such as BTS, EXO, and SEVENTEEN as the top idol groups in October.

The rankings were based on various factors including consumer participation, media, communication, and community indices analyzed by the organization. Particularly, it extracted a total of 55,044,155 pieces of data among numerous boy groups from September 10 to October 11.

BTS Stays Strong On Top

Leading the brand reputation rankings for over a year now, the worldwide K-Pop boy group BTS has successfully continued its streak up to this month.

Out of the more than 55 million data evaluated by the institute, the K-Pop septet was able to score a brand reputation index of 13,209,186 to secure the glorious spot in October.

Some of the high-ranking phrases from the group’s keyword analysis included some of the names of the members such as “J-Hope”, “Jimin”, and their recent concert in “Saudi Arabia”. Additionally, the words “enter”, “emotionally moving”, and “record” are present in the band’s highest-ranking related terms.

After finally gracing the stage at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on October 11, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are set to wrap up their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour with not just one, but three sold-out shows in Seoul’s Olympic Stadium on October 26, 27, and 29.

Moreover, the idol group will perform at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball tour stop at The Forum in Inglewood, California on December 6. Other international acts including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Halsey, and more are likewise set to headline the highly-anticipated Christmas event.

EXO Settles At Second Place

Maintaining their seat at the second spot is South Korea’s representative boy group EXO.  The handsome and talented boys were able to secure the impressive rank thanks to a slight percentage increase in their score since last month. In particular, they obtained a brand reputation index of 4,554,911.


Just recently, EXO charmed fans with the release of its very first song as a six-member group on October 10. Specifically, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun serenaded their beloved EXOLs with a new Japanese single titled “Bird”.

SEVENTEEN Takes Over The Third Spot

Placing fifth in last month’s rankings, SEVENTEEN was able to rise up in October to take the third place. S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Seungkwan, DK, Vernon, and Dino were able to acquire the high-rank with an impressive rise of 21.58 percent in their score. The boys particularly scored a total brand reputation index of 3,279,626.

Dubbed as the “Kings of Synchronization”, the thirteen-member group has previously wowed everyone with their newest set of tracks. Titled An Ode, the boys’ latest album houses eleven tracks with “Fear” as its title song.

Moreover, rounding up our top-five list are SHINee and NCT who grabbed the fourth and fifth places, respectively. SHINee took over the fourth spot with a score of 2,115,829. NCT, on the other hand, followed closely at the fifth rank with 2,040,478.
