Just a few hours ago, BTS took to Youtube to deliver heartening words amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.

In an effort to win the battle against the pandemic, the cadets of the Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy has selected BTS to spark a chain of positivity. The seven boys put together a video to inspire not only their ARMY, but people all over the globe to keep the strength and the faith.

“We want to thank the nursing officers, medical staff, and everyone battling this virus to protect the safety and lives of the people.” J-Hope shared after RM kicked off the video with an introduction.

Jin chimed in by saying, “We realize more than ever how meaningful our everyday life was. Standing on a stage facing empty seats, we realize how precious each moment with you was.”

Suga continued their message by discussing the negative impact the crisis has had on the world and on people’s emotional health. “COVID-19 has shut down travel, and people are keeping their distance from each other. I think the hardest thing may be that we are feeling more and more isolated.”

Despite the social distancing that is being practiced, Jimin reminded us that the connection we all have with one another is a powerful tool that no virus can defeat. “But guys, we are connected closely, and we share both pain and joy. If we have the courage and will to overcome anything, I’m sure we’ll succeed with the power of our connection.

There is a lot of stigma going on right now, but rather than pointing fingers, people need to unite, because we are all in this together. Jungkook added his thoughts on this aspect. “These are times we need to trust more than doubt, care more than anger. As citizens of Korea and the world, BTS will face this challenge together with all of you.”

Looking forward to brighter days, V shared that he anticipates the day when when people can once again spend time together to enjoy the little things. “I hope soon we’ll again be able to see those we love, share a meal, and talk together. I hope soon we’ll sing and be happy together with you.”

To draw the video to a close, RM capped off their sincere message of hope. “Everyone, let’s all wait for things to return to normal, and do our best where we are.”

The K-Pop hitmakers concluded the video with their iconic Bangtan cheer, and proceeded to nominate global soccer legend, Son Heung Min, to be the next link in the chain of hope.

With over two million views in less than 24 hours, it truly wasn’t long before the profound message resonated and trended with the ARMY.

With the the Korean Armed Forces Nursing Academy and BTS as the catalyst for this chain of hope, it’s only inevitable that more and more artists will rise to the occasion to use their influence to instill strength and courage in people everywhere.
