BTS To Deliver A History-Making Performance At The “2021 Grammy Awards”
BTS become the first Korean artists in history to join the Grammy Awards as both performing and nominated artists!
BTS will make history as the first Korean artists to participate in the Grammy Awards as both performing and nominated artists. The Grammy Award organizer, the U.S Recording Academy, announced a list of performing artists on its website on March 7.
The announcement, listing BTS as one of the performers for the prestigious event, thrilled fans. Moreover, other performing artists include Cardi B, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and more.
In regards to the upcoming event, the Recording Academy stated, “Artists will stay together safely distanced, playing music for each other as a music community and celebrating the music that connects us together.”
BTS already made history, claiming a nomination in the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category with their smash single “Dynamite”.
Their upcoming participation in the event marks their third consecutive appearance in the Grammy Awards. BTS first appeared in the “61st Grammy Awards” in 2019 as a presenter. Subsequently, the group joined rapper Lil Nas X in last year’s ceremony with a collaboration performance of “Old Town Road”.
Now, BTS will appear this year as a performer and nominee, raising the expectations and excitement of global fans. As one of the most successful and loved music acts in history, receiving both a nomination and performance stage was both anticipated and overdue.
Meanwhile, the “63rd Grammy Awards” will broadcast live for worldwide audiences on CBC from the U.S on March 14.
