Get well soon, our winter bear, Kim Taehyung!

Big Hit Music has announced that BTS’ V has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Just recently, BTS’ agency released an official announcement through its fan community platform, Weverse.

“V visited the hospital Tuesday afternoon on the 15th after experiencing a mild sore throat and took the PCR test. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 tonight,” the agency said.

According to Big Hit Music, V has already completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations. Currently, he is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat.

“He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities,” the agency added.

Last weekend, V met with the other BTS members but everyone was wearing a mask, and there was no close contact. The agency shared, “None of the BTS members other than V are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from the preemptive self-tests.”

Moreover, the agency noted that they will continue to make their artists’ health as their top priority.

V became the fifth member of BTS to have tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier this month, Jimin was discharged from the hospital after recovering from the virus and his appendicitis surgery.

In December 2021, RM, Jin, and Suga were also diagnosed with COVID-19 and recovered after almost two weeks.
