As revealed on January 26 by Crayon Pop’s agency Chrome Entertainment, the group dropped a special track titled 123 New Year via online music sites in China on January 22.

Last December, Crayon Pop teamed up with Chinese boy band DT Boys to record the song, and had also completed the music video shooting. This collaboration is the girls’ first step in entering the Chinese entertainment industry.

Chrome Entertainment stated: “The collaboration was first requested by the popular Chinese agency Dien Tong Entertainment.”

The song is made in celebration of the lunar new year, delivering the Chinese and Korean idols’ warm well wishes and happiness to people. The bright melody and powerful drum beat will definitely bring everyone festive mood for the coming Lunar New Year. In the music video, Crayon Pop wears traditional Chinese clothing called qibao.

DT Boys is one of the hottest boy bands in China under the management of Dien Tong Entertainment. The group consists of Wei Yining, Chen Xiao and Wang Bowen.

In related news, Crayon Pop and DT Boys will be holding their first collaboration performance at the Youth AMIGO concert in Beijing on January 30.
