EXID’s Solji Signs Exclusive Contract With C-JeS Entertainment
EXID’s beloved leader Solji is marking a new beginning in her career under new management.
Solji is preparing for bigger and better things for her career, and she’s taking a big step towards them by signing under new management. On March 23, C-JeS Entertainment announced that the singer has recently joined their roster of artists.
“We will exhausting all our efforts in order to help Solji, who has previously established her unique singing ability,” a representative from the agency noted. “We will make sure that she will get to do all kinds of activities, in addition to her music.”
C-JeS Entertainment is currently managing the likes of JYJ, Gummy, and actors such as Kim Nam Gil, Choi Min Sik, Hwang Jung Eum, and Kang Hye Jung.
EXID’s Solji initially announced her departure from Banana Culture Entertainment on February 5, through her Instagram account.
“After a series of discussions, I have decided to part ways with Banana Culture Entertainment,” her Instagram post read. A representative from Banana Culture Entertainment, however, noted that her contract with them was set to expire on June.
Solji was the fourth EXID member to part ways with Banana Culture Entertainment, and the second to announce her departure this year. Earlier this year, Hyelin also announced her departure from the agency through social media.
Despite the group’s members working under different management companies—Hani is now working with Sublime Artist Agency, and Jeonghwa signed with JWIDE-COMPANY—Banana Culture Entertainment assured fans that EXID is not disbanding.
