On Hellokpop Playlist: GREATGUYS Tracks That Speak About Their Multifaceted Talent
Ahead of the release of their upcoming fifth mini-album, get to know GREATGUYS further through their diverse discography.
Since its debut in 2017, DNA Entertainment’s boy group GREATGUYS has emerged as a hidden gem in the K-Pop industry. Highly underrated both domestically and abroad, their appeal can be attributed to many factors, including their stage presence, dance skills, close bond with fans, ethereal visuals, and diverse discography.
Containing tracks from a variety of genres with contributions from the members themselves. Spanning Korean, Japanese, English, and instrumental tracks, GREATGUYS’ music highlights the member’s unique energy, charisma, rap, and vocal talents.

GREATGUYS first impression listeners with their synth-pop debut track, “Last Men.” The powerful single highlighted producer Ryan K’s arrangement skills, among others. The music video showcased the members’ sharp choreography and dance skills, raising expectations for the future intense performances that only these cool guys could deliver.
GREATGUYS debuted on August 25, 2017, with the single album Last Men, followed by subsequent single albums Ganda, Trigger, and Again, as well as the mini-albums Take Off, We’re Not Alone_Chapter 1: It’s You, We’re Not Alone_Chapter 2: You & Me, and We’re Not Alone Final: Only You.
Recently, Horyeong, Haneul, Daun, Donghwi, Dongin, Hwalchan, Uiyeon, and Baekgyeol wrapped up performances in Japan while simultaneously performing at KCON Japan. They will greet fans once again with their comeback on June 18 at 12PM KST with their fifth mini album, RECORD OF YOUTH EP. 1 DESTINY.
Ahead of their new album, we’ve rounded up our top GREATGUYS playlist essentials to get you hyped for the release!
BLIND LOVE
“BLIND LOVE” is a complete contrast to their prior release, “Touch By Touch.” While the previous tracks helped establish GREATGUYS signature sound, “BLIND LOVE” takes it a step further. Co-written by Dongin, the song is an adventurous tale that takes advantage of synth beats giving in an R&B-like melody. “BLIND LOVE” eloquently highlights the group’s growth and experience as artists as singers, songwriters, and performers.
Illusion
“Illusion” burst onto the scene in 2018 on GREATGUYS first mini album, Takeoff. The group experimented with an edgier and darker take on typical pop for this track, and it paid off big. With its thick electronic base, strong melody, and ominous undertones, “Illusion” put GREATGUYS on the map.
Last Men
There’s something special about debut tracks that feel cross-generational. “Last Men” is not only a beautiful sneak peek at what will become GREATGUYS’ signature sound and styling but also has a second-generation vibe to it that makes it that much more unique. Even six years later, the song still feels both relevant and cool in today’s music.
DANG!
“DANG!” is a track off GREATGUYS third single album, TRIGGER. The song infuses GREATGUYS unique synth-pop stylings with a retro beat that makes it both refreshing and bright. With lyrics including, “Times with you feel so short,” “I’m entranced by your beauty,” and “When you look at me, everything is healed,” the upbeat atmosphere delivers a message of love to listeners.
Be On You
“Be On You” is undoubtedly my favorite GREATGUYS song to date. The track encapsulates a more serious and brooding tone, often associated with more sensual songs. Hailed by peers as the “future R&B,” the song features standout vocals, sustained power, and an earworm chorus that makes listeners want to play the song on repeat.
