ITZY Breaks Personal Record With 3rd Mini-Album “Not Shy”

ITZY scores an amazing feat by beating their own initial record!

This proves their enormous growth by taking over domestic and international music charts and breaking their personal first-week album sales!

Released on August 17, the group’s third mini-album Not Shy has recorded 144,355 copies sold on its first week, based on Hanteo Chart. This is a new personal best for the group, doubling the initial record of 64,659 copies sold during their previous album IT’z ME.

ITZY continues to make waves in the international market as they took over both domestic and overseas charts.

The album ranked first in Weekly Album Chart of Hanteo, dated August 17 to August 23. It also claimed the number one spot in Gaon Chart 2020’s 34th week Retail Album Chart. It swept the real-time charts of domestic music sites, earning the top spot of the Bugs Weekly Chart.

On August 18, “Not Shy” ranked first in the Japanese LINE Music Daily Chart, iTunes Japan K-Pop Song, and iTunes Japan K-Pop Album. It also earned the top spot of the Chinese music site QQ Music’s Korean Chart.

The music video has surpassed 10 million views on YouTube 17 hours after its official public release. As of writing the full music video has exceeded 30,162,459 million views.

The promoting track “Not Shy” is a song written by JYP Entertainment’s Park Jin Young that speaks about the determination to express love without hesitation regardless of the outcome.
