ITZY Renews Contract with JYP Entertainment, Continuing Their Journey as Global Performance Queens

ITZY is staying with JYP Entertainment.

On the afternoon of the 20th, JYP officially announced, “Ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contracts early next year, all members of ITZY—Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna—have renewed their contracts with us. The early renewal was made based on deep mutual trust between the company and the artists, who have been recognized for their unmatched performance skills and active global presence.”

With this renewal, ITZY and JYP reaffirm their strong partnership built since the group’s debut in 2019. JYP shared its commitment to “providing full support for ITZY to continue growing as a top global girl group” and ensuring “each member’s talents and individuality shine through a variety of projects and opportunities.”

The announcement was made in a heartfelt way—directly by ITZY themselves—during their 4th official fan meeting, “ITZY The 4th Fan Meeting: ITZY, Miji, Fly!” held on the 20th at KBS Arena in Seoul. During the “ON AIR” segment, the members revealed the news to fans first-hand, filling the venue with cheers and emotion. Expressing their gratitude to MIDZY, their devoted fandom, the members promised to “walk together toward an even brighter future.”

Since debuting in February 2019, ITZY has solidified their reputation as “K-pop’s representative performance queens.” They swept major rookie awards upon debut and have continuously impressed with bold concepts and explosive stage charisma. Their mini-album GUESS WHO marked their entry into the U.S. Billboard 200, while CHECKMATE soared to No. 8 on the same chart—proof of their expanding international influence.
