IZ*ONE Dominates The Oricon Charts With “Vampire”

Once more, the girl group takes the Japanese music chart by storm with their newest comeback.

This month, IZ*ONE dominates the Japanese music scene once more as they break records with their latest release, “Vampire”.

According to the Oricon charts, Eunbi, Sakura, Hyewon, Yena, Chaeyeon, Chaewon, Minju, Nako, Hitomi, Yuri, Yujin, and Wonyoung topped their weekly singles chart as they sold 205,000 units of “Vampire”.

This is the second time the girl group has topped the Oricon weekly singles chart, as, their earlier release “Buenos Aires”, topped the weekly chart for the period of June 24-30. Notably, all three of their Japanese singles sold over 200,000 copies on their first week.

Further cementing their status as a quickly rising star in Japan, IZ*ONE also became the first female group ranked first on the rookie artist total sales chart in Oricon’s half-year charts.

Eunbi, Sakura, Hyewon, Yena, Chaeyeon, Chaewon, Minju, Nako, Hitomi, Yuri, Yujin, and Wonyoung was formed on Mnet’s reality show, Produce 48. Their debut, “La Vie En Rose,” topped Korean music charts and international iTunes charts.

The group’s stellar performance since their debut earned accolades from the 2018 Asia Artist Awards, the 2018 Gaon Chart Music Awards, and the 33rd Golden Disc Awards.
