Jeon Somi Unveils First Set Of Teasers & Date For “DUMB DUMB” Comeback
Now is the time to mark your calendars as charming soloist Jeon Somi will return to the music scene soon with a new single!
The Black Label’s prized soloist Jeon Somi will make fans’ summer even brighter and hotter by coming back to the K-Pop realm with a new track!
On July 23, the agency first revealed the artist’s newest activity through a fun, catchy and scrapbook-inspired teaser poster.
Uploaded through Black Label’s official SNS accounts, the teaser shows Somi striking a cool and fierce pose while looking directly at the camera. She further stole fans’ hearts with her enchanting aura. Her blonde hairstyle is highly reminiscent of Barbie dolls, whose figures are out of this world.
Published a day after, the second teaser poster then shows various photos of Somi, along with stickers surrounding all the edges. The overall layout of the sneak peek takes inspiration from personal pages of a well and fully decorated journal.
This alone hints a fun, lively and cool girl concept from Somi, who has been working hard all year round to produce good and quality music.
TEASERS FOR A FUN-FILLED COMEBACK
On July 23 and July 24, the soloist further surprised fans with two close-up photos that highlight her stunning and flawless facial features.
Further heightening the excitement of everyone who all have been waiting for this moment to come, Somi released three new consecutive teaser photos, two of which have the same scrapbook-inspired vibe just like what was shown earlier and one is a fully body shot that captures the singer’s fierce aura.
With the continuous releases, expectations are rising regarding what kind of style and image Somi will demonstrate in this release, in terms of music and in growth of stage presence.
A COMEBACK TO LOOK OUT FOR
“Dumb Dumb” will mark as Somi’s latest single following the release of “What You Waiting For” in July 2020. Falling under the dance pop and synth pop genres, it became well-received by fans all around the world. Notably, the song was the one who brought her the first-ever music show win since debut in 2019.
As of writing, the music video for “What You Wating For” has already amassed 48 million views on the YouTube platform.
Somi will release her new single “Dumb Dumb” on August 2 at 6 PM KST.
