Before his upcoming concert in Australia, JYJ‘s Kim Junsu announced via his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, that he accepted a role in a musical, scheduled to be staged in December at Sejong Art Center in Seoul.

The musical covers the life of Kim Kwang-seok, a legendary folk rock singer who died in 1996. Kim will be taking the stage in his new role between 8 and 29 December.

Junsu is an acclaimed musical actor; in August this year he reprised his role as Death in the European musical Elisabeth and previously played the main characters of Mozart! and Tears of Heaven.

In related news, his band mates are also focusing on their solo careers at the moment, with Park Yoochun cast in the movie Sea Frog and Kim Jaejoong about to release his first full length album later this year.
