By  |

Mark your calendars! KARA is set to release a new album for its 15th-anniversary debut!

On September 19, RBW Entertainment released a statement saying, “KARA will release an album to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their debut in November.”

This is KARA’s first full album since their 7th mini-album In Love, which was released in May 2015. This comeback holds special meaning for the group as it’s a full album with all five members, including Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, and Heo Young-ji, as well as Nicole and Kang Ji-young, who left in 2014.

KARA’s 15th-anniversary album will be released by RBW, which acquired KARA’s original agency DSP Media earlier this year. The members expressed their ambition to enjoy themselves together with their fans by creating an album full of happy and bright energy like a festival. They went on to note it is an album prepared for fans who have sent love and support for a long time.

As part of their 15th-anniversary celebrations, KARA is planning to appear on various TV and variety shows at the time of the album’s release. Expectations are high as fans and peers alike eagerly anticipate KARA’s return.

KARA made its debut in 2007 with its first full-length album “The First Bloooooming,” followed by the albums “Lupin,” “STEP,” “Mr.,” “Pretty Girl,” and “Honey,” to name a few. With each new song released, such as “Mamma Mia,” “Jumping,” and “Wanna” the group broke records proving they were loved by the public as “the representative girl group of the second generation.”

Additionally, KARA gained global popularity by recording high album sales on the Japanese Oricon chart and being the first girl group to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome.

Stay tuned as more details about KARA’s 15th-anniversary celebrations and album are revealed in the coming weeks.
