MONSTA X Dominates Japan’s Oricon and Tower Record Charts

MONSTA X proves that their level is A++++++ as they reign over Japan’s top music charts with their Japanese release “WANTED”!

MONSTA X took the top spot in Japan’s Oricon chart and the Tower Records chart for their smashing number “WANTED”.

The group’s agency Starship Entertainment stated, “MONSTA X not only ranked second in the local Oricon weekly singles ranking (as of March 8-14), but also ranked second on the Tower Records weekly singles chart (as of March 8-14 and March 15-21) for two consecutive weeks.”

“WANTED” is a thrilling track that features cool lyrics and heavy sounds that mirror MONSTA X’s innate dynamism in the most glamorous way. The music video for the same, further caught the attention of global fans thanks to the members’ explosive energy and their chic meets strong charisma.

Earlier, MONSTA X had proved their power as the ultimate global scene-stealers. The boy group topped Tower Records’ “Top K-Pop Singles Chart for the first half of 2020” with their beautiful ballad “Wish on the same sky” that released in April last year.

Besides this, a total of the multitalented group’s four singles, namely “Spotlight”, “Livin’ It Up”, “Shoot Out”, and “Alligator”, were certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), which is a feat only for singles that attained more than 100,000 local single shipments.  

MONSTA X has been showcasing their evolution as a pathbreaking group and have been raising the bar with each release.

Meanwhile, MONSTA X is gearing up to meet Monbebes by hosting their online fan concert MX UNIVERSITY through Naver V LIVE. Additionally, the group is gearing up to unveil their third Japanese album soon. Titled, Flavors of love, the album featuring 11 power-packed numbers, will be releasing on May 5.
