NU’EST Makes A Majestic Return With 2nd Full Album “Romanticize”
All that we want is for NU’EST to continue producing bops and here it is now!
On April 19, NU’EST released its 2nd full album Romanticize, gifting fans with another masterpiece.
The five-member reversal group made their majestic return with a full album after seven years since Re:BIRTH in 2014. Romanticize is a true musical gem that invites listeners to break free from the mundane and ordinary.
Consisting of 10 tracks, Romanticize consists of two parts; the first half addresses the notion of love in an intuitive manner. While the latter depicts the rich musicality of each NU’EST member as they share their own respective idea and moments of romance within their daily lives.
Relatively, the title slightly went a new musical direction compared to their previous title tracks. “INSIDE OUT” is a Chill House track in which the group explored their complex emotions that arise when faced with an impending breakup with the one they love. Baekho, who was involved in its composition, shared that when he first heard “INSIDE OUT”, he felt as if the “final piece of the puzzle” had been found.
Over the course of NU’EST’s nine years, the talented boy group established themselves as an irreplaceable act through their incessant efforts to avoid settling for what’s already there and boldly forge their own path. With Romanticize, the Kings of Comebacks have brought about yet another wave of change to the K-pop scene, or should we call, NU’wave.
Meanwhile, NU’EST’s 2nd full album Romanticize is now available for streaming on various music sites now. Alongside is the music video for the title track “INSIDE OUT.”
NU’EST is a five-member boy band consisting of members: JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren. Following the keywords NU (new), Established, Style, and Tempo, the name of this urban electro band stands for “creating music with a new style.”
In 2017, the quintet gained newfound popularity through its appearance on Mnet’s Produce 101 Season 2. Reversing the music charts with their lyrically sentimental music and expressive performances, NU’EST not long after rose to the top. Since then, the act has garnered numerous major domestic accolades. This includes four Golden Disk Awards, three Seoul Music Awards, and five Asia Artist Awards. With this, the group became the rulers of their own fairytale story, establishing themselves as the “Kings of Comebacks.”
Their 6th mini-album, Happily Ever After, marks the group’s best-selling release with over 270,000 copies sold in South Korea alone.
