Parastar Entertainment Opens Global Auditions for Big Ocean

Parastar Entertainment has announced a global audition to recruit new members for Big Ocean, the world’s first K-pop idol group made up of Deaf and hard-of-hearing artists.

Created to challenge long-standing barriers in the global music industry, Big Ocean proves that Deaf artists can perform, connect, and thrive on international stages while honoring their identity, language, and culture. Since their debut, the group has gained worldwide recognition for redefining accessibility and inclusion in mainstream pop music.

As part of Big Ocean’s continued growth and global expansion, this audition is open to candidates worldwide who are ready to join the group’s journey on international stages.

Big Ocean Global Audition – Key Details

Application Deadline: January 31, 2026
Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Eligibility

• Deaf or hard-of-hearing male applicants

• CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) also eligible

• Born in or after the year 2000

Required Application Materials

• Basic profile information (name, date of birth, height, weight)

• Links to personal SNS accounts (if available)

• Photos: one front-facing photo and one full-body photo

• One performance video (choose one):

  • Vocal performance (a cappella or with instrumental/MR)

  • Dance performance (free choreography or cover)

  • Rap performance (freestyle or original)

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Ability to communicate in foreign languages

• Use of sign languages (Korean Sign Language, International Sign, American Sign Language, etc.)

• Experience in creative work such as lyric writing, composition, or choreography

• Prior stage or broadcast performance experience

Selection Process

• Only selected candidates will be contacted individually

• Submitted materials will not be returned

• Any false information may result in disqualification

• Applicants must consent to the use of submitted visual materials for audition and promotional purposes
