Red Velvet Tops Music Charts with ‘Ice Cream Cake’

With the impressive music video and addictive tunes for the title track Ice Cream Cake, it is no surprise that Red Velvet quickly topped domestic and international music charts.

Red Velvet made a comeback to the music scene with  new member Yeri, by dropping its first album of the same name on March 17 via online music sites. The girls have proved not only their unique charms, but also their outstanding talents as they topped three local music charts; Bugs Music, Genie Music, and Olleh Music, as well as the iTunes charts in three Asian countries: Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, with lead song Ice Cream Cake.

In related news, the quintet gave its first live performance of the new songs coming of the album, and shared thoughts about the comeback, new album, along with introducing self-camera footage, in a program titled Red Velvet′s Ice Cream TV, on March 18 at 9 pm KST. The showcase was broadcast live via Naver music, with SHINee′s Minho serving as the host.
