BTS, X1, & EXO Hailed As Leading Boy Groups In September Brand Ranking

Congratulations to BTS, X1, and EXO for topping this month’s brand reputation ranking among K-Pop boy groups.

According to the latest brand reputation ranking published by the Korean Business Research Institute, K-Pop boy groups BTS, X1, and EXO are crowned as the leading bands for the month of September.

The ranking were based on consumer participation, media, communication, and community indices analyzed by the organization. Particularly, it extracted a huge amount of data among numerous boy groups from August 5 to September 6.

The Overwhelming Domination Of BTS

From over 72 million pieces of data evaluated by the institute, worldwide idol group BTS has scored a total brand reputation index of 13,738,556. Notably, the K-Pop septet was able to maintain the first place for sixteen straight months now.

Some of the high-ranking phrases from the group’s keyword analysis included the names of the maknae line namely “Jimin”, “V”, and “Jungkook”. The positive words such as “honest”, “love”, and “do well” are likewise present as the band’s highest-ranking related terms.

The maknae line together with their hyungs RM, Jin, Suga, and J-Hope are currently on their respective well-deserved vacations. Moreover, they are set to return in October with their first-ever concert in Saudi Arabia.

Specifically, BTS will treat ARMYs with phenomenal stages at King Fahd International Stadium on October 11. Soon after, they will wrap up their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour with not just one, but three sold-out shows in Seoul’s Olympic Stadium on October 26, 27, and 29.

The Impressive Rookie Power Of X1

Flying high to secure the second spot is Produce X 101’s rookie boy group X1. Proving to be part of this year’s power rookie lineup, the group was able to obtain a brand reputation index of 5,734,703 for the month.

Aside from placing second in the brand rankings in September, the boys likewise made an impressive record with their debut album Quantum Leap. Earlier this month, X1 officially became the K-Pop group with the highest first-week sales for a debut album. According to South Korea’s Hanteo Chart, they were able to amass a whopping total of 524,007 album sales from August 27 to September 2.

In addition, the X1 has bagged a total of four music show wins to date with their debut title song “Flash”. Moreover, ONE IT can know more charming sides of Seung Woo, Kim Yo Han, Kim Woo Seok, Song Hyeong Jun, Cho Seung Youn, Son Dong Pyo, Lee Han Gyul, Nam Do Hyun, Cha Jun Ho, Kang Min Hee, and Lee Eun Sang, by watching their debut reality show X1 FLASH.

The Unyielding Influence Of EXO

Following closely at third place is EXO. Though placing a rank lower than their spot last August, “the Nation’s Pick” continues to showcase their amazing power in the September brand rankings. The idol group was able to achieve the high spot thanks to their brand reputation index of 4,320,894.

Meanwhile, Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Chen, Kai, and Sehun are currently busy with their ongoing world tour. Titled EXO PLANET #5 – ExplOration, the K-Pop royalties recently graced the Manila stage with back-to-back concert parties at the MOA Arena last August 23 and 24.  Moreover, the boys are set to meet Singaporean EXO-L next this September 15.
